A year ago, my mother remarried and moved to this house. Her mother is pregnant and has returned to her parents' home. The new dad is a nice guy, but he's kind of shy, and there's no smile behind his eyes. She didn't like living with her new dad in a house without mom. Her older sister couldn't get used to the new school, so she shut herself up in her room.
